AC Milan are considering a move for out-of-favour Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, according to reports in Italy.
The France international is said to be unhappy with his bit-part status in the Gunners squad and the 31-year-old has been restricted to starts in the EFL Cup and Europa League.
Having held discussions with France assistant manager Guy Stephan, Giroud has been advised to leave the Premier League club in order to boost his chances of a place in next summer’s World Cup squad.
And, according to Newsmondo.it, AC Milan are reportedly eyeing a loan move for Giroud to enable the forward to feature more regularly.
It’s unclear whether or not the Frenchman is keen on a move away from the Emirates but with competition at international so high, it may prove to be the best solution for the striker.
