Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly requesting the club sign Sporting Lisbon star Gelson Martins. After reports claimed the 32-year-old wanted to leave Spain after being accused of tax fraud by the authorities, he now looks set to stay put. However, Spanish outlet Diario Gol claims Ronaldo wants more Portuguese players at the club with the likes of Pepe and Fabio Coentrao likely to go. And it is said that Ronaldo thinks Sporting star Martins would be a perfect signing. With Gareth Bale struggling with injuries and Karim Benzema’s form beginning to wane, the former Manchester United star supposedly wants cover in the club’s attacking positions.

Barcelona are angry at Hector Bellerin over his refusal to manoeuvre a move away from Arsenal, according to reports. The 22-year-old is the club’s top target as they aim to challenge Real for La Liga and the Champions League next term. But Spanish outlet Don Balon say the Catalan giants are growing increasingly frustrated with the Arsenal star. They supposedly think that Bellerin will only move to the Nou Camp if the youngster pushes for a move. And they are ready to turn their attentions to Benfica’s Nelson Semedo if he fails to do so.

Chelsea star Diego Costa has told Atletico Madrid he wants to rejoin them this summer. That is according to Sky Sports, who report the Spain international has been in direct contact with his former club. Atletico are banned from signing players until January after being found guilty of breaking FIFA rules. But Costa, who revealed earlier this month that Blues boss Antonio Conte had dumped him via text, wants a return. The 28-year-old left Atleti back in the summer of 2014 and has helped Chelsea win the Premier League title twice in the last three years.
