Lazio have finally agreed terms over a new contract with Liverpool target Stefan de Vrij, according to reports in Italy.
The defender’s current deal expires in the summer and he has been linked with moving to Anfield for free when it runs out.
Italian champions Juventus have also shown an interest in the Dutchman after learning he could be open to a fresh challenge.
But, according to Il Messaggero, De Vrij has finally agreed to sign a new contract with Lazio.
The centre-back, 25, has reportedly agreed to sign a three-year contract worth just over £50,000-a-week.
Crucially, however, the new deal will also feature a release clause of £27million, meaning clubs could still come and snap him up if they are prepared to pay.
