Manchester United news: Red Devil’s most iconic games, including Juventus, Bayern and Liverpool wins
“I think, collectively, it was the best performance of that treble-winning season,” Ryan Giggs once explained when thinking back to that balmy night in Turin. Giggs had scored in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in the first leg, but they were quickly 2-0 down in the second against Juventus until Dwight Yorke and the influential Roy Keane – playing like a man possessed – scored to settle any nerves. That was enough to take them through to the final, but up popped Andy Cole to reserve United a place in their first European Cup final for 31 years. What a game. “Keane’s opening header with Zidane lying on his backside showed how good Utd were; nerves of steel and talent to burn,” Stephen Browne wrote on the talkSPORT Facebook post.

It was a question, open to everyone, which was asked on Facebook.com/talkSPORT.
