Schalke determined to keep in-demand Leon Goretzka after losing Sead Kolasinac to Arsenal for nothing
Leon Goretzka (centre) has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Liverpool
Schalke are determined to keep hold of Arsenal and Liverpool target Leon Goretzka after losing Sead Kolasinac fonothing last summer.
Kolasinac left the German club in the previous transfer window to join the Gunners in a free transfer
The left-back went to the Emirates on a free as his contract expired and Schalke could not get him to agree fresh terms.
The German club risk the same happening again next summer as Goretzka’s deal is due to run out.
Arsenal and Liverpool are tracking the Germany international, while Barcelona and Juventus are also interested in signing him for nothing.
And, according to Bild, the pain of losing Kolasinac for free is spurring Schalke on to sort out Goretzka’s future.
The Bundesliga side are said to have offered the midfielder a massive contract worth £206,000-a-week in the hope they aren’t left empty handed again.
