Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino hailed their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace as a great way to end the perfect week.
After a headline-grabbing victory against European champions Real Madrid on Wednesday, Spurs turned their attention back to Premier League matters as bottom-of-the-table Palace travelled to Wembley.
Despite their precarious position the Eagles put in a resilient performance against Pochettino’s team but a second half goal from Son Heung-min was enough for Tottenham to grab all three points.

However, after the game Pochettino insisted the three points were the most important thing.
“It was fantastic to finish that way, now we go into the international break,” said the Spurs boss.
“What is so important is the three points.
“After a great, amazing game against Real Madrid it is always so difficult to keep focused, be professional and win games.
“Today I am so delighted because the performance was fantastic, a very professional performance, and I am happy.
“As soon as we concede a few chances, Crystal Palace played well and had chances, but in the end the most imp0ortant thing is the three points.”
