Manchester United have been put on red alert by the news Valencia may be forced to sell Carlos Soler next summer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
The 20-year-old has been in stunning form this season and he has been linked with a huge move to Old Trafford.
Valencia naturally want to keep hold of their talented midfielder, who is under contract until June 2021.
But, according to Marca, the Spanish club will be forced to sell Soler next summer if they don’t qualify for the Champions League this season.
It is reported that Valencia need to raise around £40million by then and they could do that if they qualify for Europe’s premier club competition.
But, failure to do so would require them to raise the cash elsewhere and that is why Soler maybe sold.
In today’s market the youngster would certainly fetch the £40m required as other clubs, and not just Manchester United, are chasing him.
